ENERGY HOLDING’S GEOTERMAL ACTIVITIES

The main aim in the energy sector is to continuously and uninterruptedly meet the energy needs of the growing population and the developing economy. In this sense, geothermal energy is a very important, environmental friendly and renewable energy source.

With the investments it has made, following the operation license for the Kemaliye-Alaşehir-Manisa geothermal field, Energy Holding has put the 220 million kWh/year geothermal power plant into operation with the approval of the ministry on 20 May 2016.

Being aware of the importance of geothermal exploration and drilling stages, the company has established the "Energy Holding Geophysical Services Department (EHGED)" and "Energy Holding Drilling Department (EHDD)" units in order to carry out these activities quickly, accurately and reliably in line with company principles.
